This session demonstrates the use of a scanner with an automatic document feeder and the PaperPort program for organizing your genealogy files electronically. This means every document a researcher has collected can be a convenient mouseclick away.

The session includes a demonstration of creating PDF files from scanned images, as well as using optical character recognition (OCR) to convert an image to a word processing document. Also included is a demonstration of the use of a digital camera and stand to photograph documents.
